What are your thoughts on the E-cig

I know this forum is for traditional smoking. Do you frown upon ecigs as there's, no tobacco? Would you be interested in trying an ecig? Share your thoughts with me on this matter.

A few thoughts.
I've been contacted by a few companies who wanted me to advertise e-cigs on smokingfeelsgood.com - which I will not. I've also had to delete many obvious posts that were advertisements in disguise.
Saying it is not a tobacco product is misleading, since it contains nicotine, a substance only found in tobacco. Therefore, it is a tobacco based product that contains certain health risks - health risks different from smoking. And that's what it comes down to, e-cigs isn't smoking and really doesn't fit into this site.

I smoke both
I smoke both e-cigs (specifically blu-cig) and regular, full-flavor cigarettes. The artificial flavor is much better than expected and the nicotine content is the same. They are not a quitting device or a "safe" alternative and do claim to be so. The manufacturers, at least for most brands, will drop any sales agent who makes such a claim. That is not their purpose.
They do enable me to smoke when I go to a bar. I was smoking one in a bar when an Ohio Smoking Nazi showed up, due to an anonymous complaint. He was watching me closely, so I started to explain what it was. He stopped me and said, "I know what it is and that it's completely legal. This is just the first time I ever saw one."
To me smoking and bars just go together naturally. With my blu-cig I can smoke in the bar, instead of going outside in the cold. This was especially helpful since I went to a News Years Eve party at a bar this year and it was cold outside!
Are they as good as a "real" cigarette? No, not quite. But they come very close in flavor and satisfaction. Actually the flavor is slightly stronger than the Marlboros and Pall Malls I prefer.
