smoking

i voted do nothing different because ..
at times i wished i never started smoking, but then there are times that i thank the lord for allowing me to smoke

i have gone threw some tough times, where i don't think things would of went as well as they did without the "aid/pleasure"

but should you start smoking .. today .. no it shouldn't even be a consideration .. unfortunately the world has gone the way of the none smoker, here its illegal to smoke in public (outside) areas frequented by children (ie parks)

I Like It

Too much of anything is too much but I love smoking. Anti-smoking in this era is fanatical. It went off the crazy cliff decades ago. It's the modern eugenics "progressing" to the Smoker Holocaust. Defy. Buy bootleg. Enjoy!

I love it

I love smoking! I vote that i started at a younger age. I started when i was 11! It is an amazing feeling when I inhale the smoke in my lungs. I don't regret that i started. Smoking is a very enjoyable and pleasurable part of my life!

I love it

Me too. I started smoking when I was 11. I wish I started younger because it's great. I used to hate them before I started, but i always dreamed about it(literally) and one day I came home from school and no one was home, and a cigarette was under the kitchen table. I tried to quit a few times( I don't know why either), but three days was the most and I couldn't take the withdrawals anymore. I will quit when I die. That was 30 years ago. Been smoking for 38 years now.

Yes Yes Yes

Officially started at 22, but now wish I started at like 10. Of course my parents probably would disagree with that. Anyway it is great!

I love smoking! Throughout

I love smoking! Throughout the last years I just smoked once in a while - secretly. My husband still doesn`t know. I am 30 now and I lately I increased my daily amount of cigarettes cause if you don`t smoke regularly the first cigarette doesn´t taste good. i just love to smoke the first cigarette of the day. and then the feeling to want more. i truly enjouy the deep inhales. i wish my husband would be ok with it. ... So far I am looking forward to my business trips once in a while where I can smoke more. I love this forum.

Hi

Your story fascinates me.....wish I could be your man, and appreciate your inner beauty as he obviously doesn't.....

MMM.....yes! Smoking is so sexy baby, and I bet you are hot as hell when you do it!

Light one up for me!

Ignore That Idiot...

I understand just how difficult it can be to take that first step but trust me it could be great. I finally gave in to my "on again, off again" pleasure a few months ago and then took the leap. To my surprise not only was my wife not upset, she is now a smoker, too. We both enjoy our Benson & Hedges Menthol Luxury cigarettes everyday. Being a non-smoker she didn't really know where to turn so she simply chose my brand of choice. She told me that she was relieved when I first told her I had started smoking again because she wanted to try smoking herself but was afraid that I would be upset if she did. Smoking has a special allure and even the most adamant non-smokers feel it. Go light up in front of your husband right now, he might surprise you!

Hi,yes i love smoking,but

Hi,yes i love smoking, but have a problem with my wife cause she is a reformed smoker & always nagging at me to stop,so i understand what you have to do,cause i am forever having to smoke more when not around my wife to keep my addiction satisfied, yes the first one of the day is always the best but over time i now smoke at least 1.5 ppd which if my wife found out how many i was smoking, she probally hit the roof but now so addicted & enjoy everyone so much i am at the stage of not caring what she says anymore, cause cigs are my life now.wow that would be grt if we could have met up when you are on your business trips, cause we could have smoked as many as we wanted to & have a laugh at the same time.

i hope that you have increased your amount that you smoke daily, cause when you do you certainly want more & need more just to help the addiction.

I Wouldn't Change a Thing

I started smoking on a daily basis right after I beat my lungs into submission and could inhale without coughing, getting dizzy, or throwing up. That was 27 years ago. By the time I was 16, I was smoking a pack a day, and have smoked 2 +/- packs a day since my late teens. (Through my 4 years of college and 5 years of graduate school, I smoked closer to three packs a day. I f**ked my lungs, but got a PhD in the process)

My one disastrous attempt at quitting when I was in my early 20's lasted a total of six days and I hated life for every single one of them. I learned my lesson and haven't given serious thought to quitting since then. My one attempt to cut back was just as bad. I know what my body and brain need and that's 40 or more delicious Marlboro Reds a day.

Addicted? You bet I'm addicted! Fortunately, I rather enjoy the most effective way of taking my drug. Drawing the smoke into my mouth, tasting and feeling it in my throat as I inhale it down into the darkest depths of my corrupted lungs, and the strain of holding it there until they have absorbed as much nicotine as possible before slowly exhaling as if reluctant to part with it - a little bit of intense pleasure 40 times a day that no anti-smoker can ever appreciate.

Bad for me? Hell yeah it's bad for me! Deliberately pumping my lungs full of toxic gas that deposits tar on their delicate tissue has to be bad for them. It why I get out of breath quicker than non-smokers or smokers of fewer pack years. Its why it takes longer for me to catch my breath when winded. Its why I have a morning hack fest that sounds like I'm about to turn my lungs inside out. Two weeks ago, however, after more than 45 pack years, I passed a stress test with flying colors. I celebrated with a cigar. I inhaled every delicious drag.

Amazing

I started smoking at age 17 and haven't looked back and said "what if I never did" yet. I absolutely love the taste of a Lucky Strike in the morning. Absolutely nothing better, except of course, a cup of coffee with that second cigarette.

I just wish I had grown up in the 50s or 60s when you could smoke whenever and wherever you wanted. Bummer.

I wish

I wish i could smoke but i am to young . . any suggestions ?

Suggestion for ppl 2 young 2 smoke

Yea, Im 2 young 2. When you are old enough to smoke, save up your money and buy a pack. I personally think you shouldnt smoke a lot. It is only a little bad for u if u smoke like 1 a day. Plus, u wont go broke! Sadly, it cost so much! Only 1 out of 3 ppl who smoke get lung cancer! Ppl exagerate 2 much. Just search 'smoking is good' and click the one above this link on the page. It will explain y smoking is good. Ok, so just smoke a little, k? I mean, u wouldnt eat junk food every sec of your life, would u? Same with smoking. Smoke only on Friday nights and Saturday nights only once. And on special occasions 2. Hope that helps!

Start smoking early

I would say... at 18 you MUST start smoking (or at least try), at 16 it's high time to start smoking, and at 13 is the best time to experience the pleasure of smoking for the first time :)

start smoking as young as you can

... i started with 12 - but i saw my aunts smoking when i was a child of 8.
in this time i had the great wish to begin, when i saw this women inhale their smoke.
but it was not possible to do it, cos my parents don´t like it.
so, at 13 i steal my first one and smoke it on a hidden place. it was soooooooooo great -
the first inhaling .... wow.
from this time on - i like (no i love it) more and more.
esp. when i see a sexy woman or girl smoking.
for me - smoking, sexy girls, nylons, high heels and mini skirts ... belongs together.
it´s a real fetish but ...... it´s the greatest thing on earth.
... therefore, if it´s your wish to try it --- do it ... also if you are 8, like me.
you will like it .... sure ... sure ... sure

pls rply

Nothing Different

I tried cigarettes a little as early as 8 or 9 but didn't know to inhale. I didn't like it and really wanted to smoke cigars.
I started smoking cigars at about 12 when I was able to buy them at a few places. This was in the 70's when a big kid that looked older could get away with it.
I smoked cigars almost every day for about a year. One night a couple cute neighbor girls that had just started smoking came over to see me. I smoked a cigar while they smoked their cigarettes and told me how nice it felt to inhale. I didn't try a cigarette that night but it got me thinking I wanted to.
There was a pack of regular Winstons in a drawer that my parents evidently didn't like and had just tossed in there. I took one of those and went outside to try inhaling for the first time. I lit it and took to big of a drag and almost choked to death! I put it out but realized I just did it wrong and intended to try again.
A few days later I bought a pack of Marlboro Reds and tried again. This time I knew to just take little drags and inhale. I didn't choke and immediately felt the buzz and liked it. I smoked about three of them that night and the same over the next couple of days. After just a few days I was able to take normal drags and really enjoy it.
To this day I still can't get over how good it feels to smoke. I absolutely love it! I did switch back to mostly cigars that I don't inhale though. Still, I start the day with a few cigarettes to get the nicotine flowing.

nothing different either

I also started smoking at 12. Would take cigeretts from my older brothers pack (winstons full strength) First time I took a BIG drag and inhaled I did not caugh, my chest felt paralized and could not exhale, my head was spinning, filally the paralized feeling stopped and could exhale. After catching my breath and the room quit spinning I took a smaller drag and inhaled, the smoke felt real strong in my lungs but went in ok. After about a week and 15 or so cigeretts my lungs got conditioned to the smoke and I could take a big drag and inhale without a problem. Have enjoyed smoking ever since and would not do anyting different. Some times have to double or tripple drag or direct hit to get that great feeling in my lungs now.

I didn't know what I was missing

I started in my forties. I was always the girl next door type. My sister and mom were the opposite. My sister kind of tricked me into trying it a few times. As it turned out I have an addictive personality like both of them, it didn't take long for me to be hooked. Being a smoker has given me a new life. I became more confident. I always wondered what it would be like to be like my sister, to dress sexy, be a smoker, and I always wished that I had the guts to be tattooed like her. Now I'm doing all of that and more and it started with smoking. I wish I'd started when my sister did, I'm so much happier now.

All Good... Except The Tatoos...

Yea! I wish that I had never quit but I am smoking everyday now and my wife started, too. Women who smoke are more confident and that is what is sexy. I think I speak for all us when I say, "Thank goodness your sister got you started!"

Uuuummmm yeah

I guess things would be better health wise, had I never started smoking, but, since I did...you know how it is. Not only am I addicted, I am fascinated by smoking. The way it looks the way it smells the people who do it. I love to smoke. I don't know whether it is because smoking is good or whether it is because I have to smoke. I love the feeling I get when I pull the smoke into my lungs and hold it there. I love to wake up in the middle of the night because I know that that cigarette is going to be awesome because it has been a couple hours since my last one not a couple of minutes. Kind of sick but hey....que sera.

nuthing diffrent

i tried a cig at 9 an didnt like it but was stil curius about it. 4 yrs l8r tried it again an it was way more fun lol. now im 15 an smoke around a half pack a day. ppl say stuff like ur 2 young 2 smoke or ur gonna regret it when ur older but i dont care cuz its still fun an i enjoy it :)

Smoking

Its my life-wish I had started at 12. Only really got addicted at 14 but have loved smoking ever since! Everyone should be a smoker.

To: I Wish

Hi, whoever you are...I smoke and have for over 40 years...Those days cigarettes were not taboo...My advice to you...Is do not start now...It is harder and harder to find your brand these days and hardly affordable....Just a little motherly advice...for what it's worth I didn't listen to mine....

Start Younger

I'm 44 and have been a smoker since I was 8. I wish I started earlier! I've had some pretty bad coughs over the few years and that's still not enough to keep me from smoking 4 packs a day! My tar deprived lungs know just what they need each day. 80 delicious Camel Unfiltered cigarettes!

start younger

I started at 18, wanted to try at 12 or 14, but was from a non smoking house, Aunts, uncles, etc. all smokers. At 18 nobody could do anything about me smoking, Started with Marlboro Reds and was at a pack per day within a week. Was at 3-5 ppd at age 19, just because it was fun to see how many cigarettes we could smoke. I"m 48 now and no ill effects from smoking, still smoke 1-2ppd of Marlboro Reds. Any age is good, but no light cigarettes, full flavor or non filter only at 12 or 14 or younger.

Wish I started younger

I started smoking at 13 (30 now). As little as a few months after I started, I was wishing I had started younger. Its depressing thinking how many years I could have been enjoying smoking before I started. If I had it to do over (with the knowledge I have now), I'd start smoking at 5 or 6.

Start as young as possible!

Hi. I´m a 18 yo girl. I started when I was 11, and now smokes 4 packs a day, filterless. I LOVE to smoke, also multiples, my goal is to smoke 5 or 6 packs a day. My lungs are always filled with lovely smoke. My only regret is that I didn´t start earlier. If I had started at 5 or 6 I could have been at 6 packs now! So my advice, start as young as possible!

fantastic

that's fantastic. I also wish I had started at 5 or 6. You're right "start as young as possible"

Started when I was 22,

Started when I was 22, shoulda started when I was 18-20. Didn't really need them before then, and didn't know how greatly they would improve my quality of life until I had been smoking for a while.

They deliver pleasure, satisfaction, and mental clarity, all of which I could have really used more of while learning to deal with the everyday stresses of adult life. Now, at least, I have this wonderful tool to help me enjoy the pleasures and work through the problems.

Started when I was 10 round

Started when I was 10 round my aunties.
Immediately loved it and now I'm a 15 year old girl who enjoys 40 a day. My 11 year old sister smokes around 25 to 30 a day.
Wish I would of started a lot younger tho as I feel I'veissed out on years of smoking pleasure. Think smoking must appeal to girls more than boys tho as all my girlfriends smoke but only a few lads I know have just recently started.

Younger the better

I started smoking when I was 21, I definitly wish I started when I was younger, maybe 14 or 15. When I was a teen I was totally against smoking but once I got into college and was around smokers I wanted to smoke, so I bought a pack of Marlboro lights and started. I'm 31 now and I'm a two pack a day smoker. I have no desire to quit and have never tried...I absolutely love it!

I've been smoking heavily

I've been smoking heavily since I was 10 years old, but always feel so jealous when I meet someone who started younger. All those wasted years. I wish I'd started when I was no older than five. I have a lot of respect for kids who didn't "wait until they were older," but made their own decision -- the right one -- to start enjoying smoking as little kids.

agree

I wish I hadn't waited too

Started younger

I would have started younger, i did not start smoking until i was 45 years old, and now i think about all the years i wasted not smoking. Starting to smoke cigarettes is one the best things i have ever done for myself, better late than never. Amy

We 40 Somethings Know...

I smoked off and on for years but always quit after short stints. Recently I started smoking again but this time told my wife. We both smoke and neither of us have any desire to quit. Life is grand!

Us Too...

I started smoking again and finally told my wife as well. Much to my surprise, not only was she not upset, she started smoking, too. She said that she was always intrigued but was afraid of how I would feel about it. We are both in our forties and she had not smoked a cigarette since college. Me, I had been starting and stopping for years, always hiding it from her until this last time. As it turns out, I should have come out of the closet years ago.

Start earlier

I began smoking in the end of a year long depression i had been struggling with. Stress from school mixed with my grandfather dying, my parents getting divorced and finally coming to terms with the fact that i could never have the girl i had been after for three years made me more or less hit a brick wall. I wish i had started smoking earlier in this period. It takes away my stress and calms me down if i ever get angry about anything. The smoking helped me deal with the last few weeks of it. Things are looking a lot better now though. I'm getting used to it. Getting rid of stress is a lot easier now to. Oh, and the girl, we've been dating for 2 months now. Probably unrelated.

I wish I hadn't stopped.

I smoked from my mid teens (in the early 70's) until I was in my early twenties. I gave up then because it"wasn't the done thing" to smoke and I thought it would affect my career prospects.
I started smoking again in my late forties for the very reason that I gave up...it is frowned upon and I don't see why I should be told how to look after my body. For the very same reason I got a tattoo for my 50th birthday. My husband loves me smoking...and my ink!
I really wish I had never given up.
My favourites are Rothmans King Size cigarettes and Hamlet Special Reserve cigars.

I do wish I had started

I do wish I had started sooner, but mainly I wish I had been more open and comfortable of my smoking when I did start.

I first started smoking when I was 15, just before I turned 16 and it was about a year before I really got to where I was a more regular smoker. I always loved smoking, right from the start, but growing up with a non-smoking family and many non-smoking friends, it made me feel I had to hide it for years, and kept me from being as comfortable smoking around certain people as Id like to have been. Even then, I was 18 and off to college before I started to really try make it a part of my daily routine, but old social barriers coming from a non-smoking family often made me feel ashamed to enjoy something that I really loved.

If I could do it over, in some "perfect" world, I'd definitely have tried to start smoking sooner, maybe around 11 when I first recall being offered a cigarette by another girl. I can think of at least 4 or 5 times around that age, just before starting middle school, that I was offered a cigarette. Foolishly, I think I only took a drag maybe twice, but never really got into because I was scared my folks would be angry. It's so stupid, because, I clearly remember looking at my best-friends moms cigarettes and wanting to be a smoker just like her as early as maybe 7 or 8 years old! Sounds funny, but it's true.

Eitherway, I think if I had started smoking earlier, and also been more open about my smoking, then I would have saved myself alot of sneaking around in high school and really had the opportunity to more explicitly craft my social identity around being a smoker...which in turn, probably would have made me quite a bit happier.

Wish I had started earlier

I started at 14 but wasnt too sure about becoming a regular smoker until I couldnt stop. That was at 15, should have started at 13 but enjoy it so much now I cant imagine being a non smoker.

Not Quit

I started smoking at 16. I quit at 27 and started again at 44. Missed the pleasure and hated the weight gain all those years.

Voted would have started earlier

I voted that I would have started earlier. I tried my first cigarette at 14 years old and smoked once a day for about a year. I do not think that I really started until I was 18, it was my first year in college and I could legally purchase cigarettes, so I started smoking about half a pack a day.

My regret is that I am and always have been a closet smoker, to this day nobody in my family knows I smoke. And, even though I smoke a pack to 1.5 packs per day, I have remained in the closet. I just think it would be ridiculous to come out now at 29 years old.

So, if I could change anything, I would have started younger and I would have come out about it. I was 12 when I became curious about smoking, I wish I had the nerve to have tried it then and gotten caught so that I would not have to be burdened by being a closet smoker. It is very difficult for us, I think that closet smokers essentially have to live two lives, and it is unfortunate.

Starting earlier

If I had it to do all over again I would have started at a much earlier age. I was in my early 50s when I started to smoke. Family was very anti but I had always wanted to see why so many people enjoyed it so much so I decided to give it a try. Now the family has accepted my addiction.
