without a doubt. i saw a max between the fingers of a college classmate in 1978, and saw the pack in her other hand i was in love!! scraping up all the change i could find to get just one more pack before my max was taken away from me. i only managed to collect a few of my empty max menthol packs and one max blue. love the site--especially all the ads from when i was a kid. the first pack i ever bought was Salem Premium Length, for 45 cents no less!! but Max is still the best, sexiest cigarette of all time. i miss them so. does anyone know were i might find some images of the "wear a Max today" series of ads? i still love my cigarettes, but not a one can get me the way Max could. keep smoking!!! maxgirnikki

Yes, the women in the Max ads are very attractive. Perhaps somewhat oddly, I've never smoked a Max.
I did know a man some 20 years ago who had worked on the Max advertising campaign. He didn't really smoke, but he did often carry a pack of Max'es with him. He said he was able to get them free at the office.
I don't believe he ever really elaborated much, but I recall him saying that they were not successful in the Max campaign. It was always difficult to get a clear bearing on anything with him, so no, I don't really know precisely what he meant.

Hi, Chris here. I started smoking when I was almost 13 and my mom smoked Max blue, well as many know when your young some of us would sneak a cigarette from moms pack. I thought I'd try one and I liked them right from the start. As time went on I started inhaling and all, one day mom caught me as do some get caught and she has been fairly supportive of me smoking, I'm 16 now and have been smoking Max 120's from the start. Some of the other girls have tried them but they say they're too strong, but I like them because they are strong, mom gets them at tobacco depot, so if you have a store like that around , try there.
