I want to Start smoking

I would like to start smoking, im 24 and always been against it in the best. However ive been going through abit of depression and anxiety and i just have the craving to start smoking. How do i start and could i start using a e cig to get used to it first?

Smoking is excellent for Anxiety & Depression

Don't worry about e cigs, for depression you need the real thing. Nicotine is good for both anxiety and depression but only a real cigarette has a MAO inhibitor (antidepressant). Follow the how to start smoking guide on this site and get yourself a pack of good quality light/gold menthol cigarettes. Menthol is easier to inhale than regular so as soon as you get used to it change to full flavour menthol as you want all the nicotine you can get to fight depression and anxiety.

start smoking

read how to start on this site, go buy a pack of light ones to start, then just go easy at first, but just be sure u want to smoke, once you do you will not want to be smoke free again, I started with a full flavor for my first one, and I had 3 the first night.I started at 18 , and realized how I loved it, I smoked lights for 3 or 4 months and then went to Marlboro reds. Im 50 now and still love my marlboro reds.I went from being against it to a 3ppd smoker in less than a year.

RE WANTING TO SMOKE

I think that is the way it happens to all us "late bloomers." We were against smoking and fascinated by it at the same time. I toyed with smoking for many years starting at age 14. I didn't take the plunge and become a daily smoker until age 32, becoming adddicted to nicotine on Kool Milds, hence the pen name. But it is an itch that needs to be scratched and I have no regrets about starting except for one- not starting sooner! So relax, take the plunge and see if it is right for you. Keep us posted on your progress.

I would definitely say go

I would definitely say go ahead and take the plunge. Cigarettes really do help with depression, anxiety, and stress. Since I've started smoking, I'm savoring every cigarette. They really do help me press through all the stress with work and help me get through the long car trips. I really don't think you'll regret smoking if you do start. It definitely sounds like you could use a cigarette break from time to time. I think we all could.

Nothing more soothing than a deeply inhaled cigarette....

I think you have found exactly what you need to ease your suffering. Cigarettes are truly wonderful friends to actually soothe yourself in the midst of anxiety and stress. Take long. slow, deep drags and let the smoke and nicotine settle for a few minutes--you can actually feel the smoke absorb your tension--and then release that tension with the smoke as you exhale. With each inhale and exhale your body will relax. Repeat dose as often as needed.
