Save Menthol Cigarettes!

The FDA is moving forward in limiting how we enjoy our cigarettes by proposing that menthol should be banned from cigarettes. As a person who enjoys menthol cigarettes, I am opposed to this action and ask that you help by emailing the FDA at TPSAC@fda.hhs.gov.
Below is an email I recently received from Lorillard that describes the issue in a little more detail.

Banning Menthol Cigarettes
Please do not ban Menthol cigarettes.......I have been smoking Menthol for almost 40 yrs and i will not
smoke anything else......I like the taste of Menthol cigarettes and it is my personal choice......

I would like to know why ban only menthol cigarettes when both menthol and non-menthol cigarettes are hazardous for your health. I have been smoking menthol cigarettes for many of years and do not plan to quit anytime soon. I also believe there are many people that feel the same way. I am just putting my 2-cents in on this issue because banning newport(menthol) cigarettes would affect many, many, many people. Please do not ban menthol cigarettes!!!!!!

forget everything for a minute
forget personal freedom forget hazards but think of all the companys that would be recked by this. in the state of are economy could we really afford more people on unemployment. people from newport, kool, and over brands that would be shut down. you would be putting a lot of people out work for no reasons. perfectly good people would loose there jobs not just CEOs. Its sad that this is even on the table for government to discuss. Really people should have more imported things to be worried about like the civil war in libya, sate of the economy, the eduction system. please give me a break mint and tabacco get to work on the real issues and stop sticking stupid laws were they don't belong.

To Whom it may Concern; The Really (Whole) Thing about ALL This crap, As I Feel. Is That years ago, When people didn't want to smoke..Did We Push, Down grade or Tell Them where and How to live their lives...NO.... It Was NO BIG DEAL--One way or The other, You either smoked or You DIDN'T......Know comes The time where a few (Socialistic-Political) People Get together (and like the whole global warming gig..$$$$$$$). Now THEY want ALL PEOPLE-w/Quote/unqoute,Freedom Rights,Somewhere hidden away..LOL Desides when, Where, & NOW WHAT KIND of cigarettes WE SMOKING AMERICANS WILL SMOKE.....Come on People, I Realize it's NOT in my Best interest to smoke. But I DO and I ENJOY IT. I'm a Pretty " LOVE MY FATHER " Type Man. And If I was going to choice for ANY reason to stop smoking , IT WOULD BE for " ALMIGHTY GOD "...He only knows what's going to happen, And When. Besides I've Known MANY People throughout my Life . That NEVER SMOKED & Still Passed on as if They were Like a chimney..SO PLEASE GIVE US A BREAK...Besides I'm more Than sure ALL of our Forefathers, Helped Build This Economy & World up with their SMOKING, Hope This gets someones attention..The World is Falling apart & were up on This Whole $$$ sceme for someone I'm sure to keep pushing These issues....
